Here are some of our certifications, awards & media recognition but most important for us is the acclaim we work to earn from our clients each and every day.
Butler Group Real Estate Designations
REALTOR®
The State of California just put stiff penalties in place for any agent that would falsely advertise that they have earned these credentials without doing so. They want the general public to be able to determine those who have taken their time and resources to develop themselves professionally, to serve the public with the highest degree of skill and knowledge.
This is a real estate licensee who is also a member of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), and has agreed to abide by the high ethical standards as set forth in the Code of Ethics. Not all real estate salespeople are REALTORS®. To be sure you are working with a licensee who has agreed to abide by the high standards of the Code of Ethics, make sure you are working with a REALTOR® – don’t be afraid to ask!
Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI)
This is a professional designation for those who have graduated from the REALTOR® Institute, also associated with the National Association of REALTORS®. The GRI training consists of three separate courses of 30 hours classroom time each. While the real estate pre-license courses in each state cover the laws and general real estate information, the GRI courses go into much greater detail on the day to day skills needed to conduct business as true professionals. According to a reference found on a RE/MAX site, it is for REALTORS® “who have completed a comprehensive education program in residential real estate. The program’s focus is on practical real estate training.”
Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) Steve & Victoria Gore
Considered the “PhD” of Real Estate, only five percent of REALTORS® nationwide have earned the CRS designation, which requires significant first-hand real estate transaction experience, hundreds of hours of advanced education and National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) membership. CRS is a professional designation provided by the Council of Residential Specialists.
Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR)
This is a professional designation from the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC), which is a part of the National Association of REALTORS®. To obtain the ABR designation, agents must be members of the National Association of REALTORS®, take a two-day course, pass a written exam, close at least five real estate buyer transactions, and receive letters of recommendation from at least two of their previous buyer clients. There are approximately 22,000 ABR designees.
Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS) Victoria Gore
Members of The Institute who hold the CLHMS designation have successfully demonstrated their expertise in the luxury home and estate market by meeting strict performance requirements. Choose an agent with the CLHMS designation and you know he or she has a solid track record of helping affluent clients achieve their real estate goals.
The Best of Zillow
Decided by clients, the Best of Zillow title is reserved for agents with experience scores of 90+ — as well as past sales and validated real estate license numbers on their profiles. To give a holistic view of a client’s home-buying journey, scores are based on surveys from 24 hours, 15 days and 45 days after an agent first speaks to a connection.
